This year has been a year of travel and new experiences and what better to continue that trend than by discovering Nassau, the new destination of Bahamas Paradise, on a two-night cruise full of entertainment, good food, and fun.
We arrived at the port of Palm Beach around 2:30, checked in, and got on board of The Grand Classica- an amazing ship with 10 decks to discover and enjoy. Upon entering we received the very friendly crew who directed us to our room. I was surprised! I don’t know why I imagined it would be small, but no, a bathroom with good details (Elemis shampoo and creams, I love that brand #noSponsored ). The bed very comfortable, room service excellent, they even made a beautiful elephant with the towels and the best part… a wonderful ocean view.
We were very excited, it was raining, it was going to rain all weekend in Florida. Luckily we were sailing away from the rain. However, we were nervous, our first time sleeping in the middle of the sea, we took medicine that helped us to feel nothing!
We went for a cocktail in the lounge where we listened to live music and the engines began to warm up for a magical night towards Nassau.
After exploring each floor, we prepared for a dinner at Admirals Steak house and Seafood, What a good restaurant, atmosphere, decoration and an exquisite menu! We had 4 courses. In the I doubted I could eat all four for fear of getting dizzy, but it was so delicious that I didn’t leave anything on the plate. This restaurant is an option of the fine dining package that can be added on the cruise to upgrade your experience, definitely recommended.
As the night continued, we went to the theater where we played bingo while awaiting the nightly musical show. We called it an early night to prepare for the big day that was coming.
I woke up to the aroma of coffee my husband brought and then went to breakfast as we slowly approached our Nassau destination. The feeling of leaving the boat and setting foot on the ground was incredible, the weather was great. We chose a day at the Atlantis water park, but the cruise has several alternatives of excursions in the blue lagoon to enjoy the beach, water sports and nature.
It was a magical and exhausting day, we returned to the ship around 5pm where a delicious dinner was waiting for us at the ROCK restaurant, where everyone cooked their meat on a hot stone, an experience full of flavor, good attention and of course a delicious dessert.
Despite some tiredness, we went to see the Soul City show an incredible performance of acrobats and dancers who filled our last night aboard with magic.
The next morning with a little nostalgia that the ride was going to end we went to breakfast with a view of Palm Beach, but with the happiness and memories of this amazing getaway
